Valentine’s Day Dates: 3 Unique and Fun Ideas

Planning to ask someone out on a date on Valentine’s Day? You might want to start preparing as early as now, since restaurants and other dating venues are usually fully booked several days before February 14th. Or you can plan an altogether different kind of Valentine’s Day date; not the usual movie house and restaurant one. If you’re up for some dating adventure, here are three unique February 14 dates you might want to try out.

  1. Find a dancing club and dance!

There’s bound to be a dancing club offering dance lessons somewhere near your place. If you find one, enroll yourself and your date to just one class – the one that’s scheduled closest to Valentine’s Day. Surprise your date by buying dancing stuff for him/her. Tell him/her about your surprise on the day of your date. Go to the class together, dance together, learn together, and have fun! Some suggestions are a salsa or cha-cha club, a jazz dance club, or a bar featuring live band music that you can dance to.

  1. Volunteer.

Make your Valentine’s Day meaningful by giving back and signing up for a soup kitchen or any charity event. Another idea would be to volunteer at a retirement home, or an orphanage, or at an animal shelter. Whatever you decide on, the most important thing is that you and your date can share your time, skills, and blessings to those who need them the most. Arrange your Valentine’s Volunteer Day weeks before February 14 to make sure that you have enough time to prepare for whatever it is that you will need to bring.

  1. Climb every mountain!

Go on a nature adventure and climb every mountain! Kidding aside, you don’t really have to climb every mountain you encounter. Instead of spending Valentine’s Day indoors, go out and enjoy the beauty of nature. Climb or hike with your special someone. Find a hiking trail that you and your date haven’t explored yet. Weeks before Valentine’s Day, prepare everything you need, including your itinerary. Plan it well so that by the time you get to the top, you and your date can see the sun as it sets. Then you can lay your picnic cloth on the ground, bring out the food and drinks, and celebrate the beauty of nature on the most romantic day of the year!
